Atlantic City offers good opportunities for thorough education from school onwards to distinct streams of knowledge for higher education. With plentiful facilities ranging from fundamental schooling to graduate and doctoral degrees there is a lot of choice in this New Jersey precinct.

Both public and private education facilities can be accessed. There is a wealth of public schools spread throughout the region. And you have alternative schooling besides the public school system with a few private institutions and charter schools as well. Besides you also special educational services to cater to special needs.

The Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT), located at Mays Landing, is one of the top comprehensive technical educational facilities here. ACIT offers students the chance to either join the Academy or study the shared-time programs. Adults can join technical programs through the Evening School while regular students can access the 4 Academy and 17 career programs.

Atlantic city is known for its student population to continue with their studies well ahead on to colleges after completion of school education. For them the city offers the Atlantic Cape Community College as a great choice. The two-year public college with its campus in Mays Landing and a branch in Atlantic City has thousands of students enjoying ACCC’s facilities. You have here more than 40 transfer and career degree programs. Interestingly you do have here casino education and culinary arts programs too!

Besides you also have four year programs available at Pomona campus of Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. This award-winning educational resource holds the distinction as the state’s sole public college to be nationally ranked as a “selective liberal arts college.” Stockton College has both undergraduate and graduate degree programs with equal stress on athletics, clubs and organizations.

The weather can really play possum in Atlantic City. With chances of flurries it’s going to be partly cloudy, windy and sunny alternatively. Conditions remain mostly overcast. Add to this the minus four degrees centigrade temperatures! However not all the chill can dampen the enthusiasm for fun and game that the city is famous for.

Come weekend and you have people rushing in from far and near to be here. So whats new now besides the gaming and the dining. On offer of course is a full calendar of events with a variety of entertainment options for visitors to choose from. This weekend I am headed with my Greek shippy friend who is keen to visit the International Power Boat Show in Atlantic city.

Kristos loves his boats. And he does not want to miss the annual exposition of hundreds of power boats, luxury yachts and a marine market featuring nautical gifts and also apparel. The event is being hosted by The Atlantic City Convention Center in the first week of February.

People are going to be here I am told for the boats and gear. I will of course be there for the fun of it all. One day - maybe just one day I might own a boat too. Who knows? Just so long as I keep trying my luck at the many gaming zones here!

No but seriously in the mean time checking out green boating zones would be just the sort of thing to begin with. But of course I will have a whale of a time at the Kids’ Cove and the Miss GEICO racing boat. Yes, February 7 and 8, I have a date in Atlantic city to go see the boats, gear and accessories. One day. Maybe just one day I will buy one too!
